This door-to-door delivery of transformers from Ex-works India to the final site in the USA was executed in the middle of heavy rain and COVID19-related disruptions. We successfully executed it with the help of our reliable partners. The heavy-lift transformers were loaded onto a suitable configuration of hydraulic axles. The packages were safely secured with proper lashing. The transportation from Karjan to Mumbai Port was done with a special escort vehicle.
The accessories were unloaded inside the Port nominated storage area. Based on the arrival of the vessel, the packages were further transported from the storage area to the berth for feeding under the vessel’s hook. The heavy-lift transformers were loaded using a lifting spreader beam. All the packages were safely loaded onto the lower deck. They were then secured with hard & soft lashing as per sea fastening calculation.
While the shipment was fraught with challenges, with planning, our team managed the delivery with ease. The consignment was delivered safely and on time, to the satisfaction of the customer.
